Denamarin for dogs and cats is a nutritional supplement for veterinary use in dogs and cats. Denamarin combines a pure S-Adenosylmethionine (SAMe) with silybin to keep your pet’s liver healthy. Silybin is the most active part of an extract from milk thistle known as silymarin. Silybin supports the flow of bile through the liver which helps with the digestion and absorption of nutrients from your pet's diet. Silybin also helps to regenerate liver cells and may enhance levels of glutathione, an antioxidant that helps to protect cells from toxins such as free radicals.

 

Denamarin tablets come in three different strengths, in boxes of 30 for cats and small dogs up to 12 lbs (90mg/9mg), medium dogs 13-34 lbs (225mg/24mg) and large dogs 35-65 lbs (425mg/35mg).

 

 

Directions For Use:
The tablets should be given on an empty stomach at least one hour before a meal for optimal absorption.
The recommended dosage is based on weight, but varies according to the direction of a veterinarian.

The usual recommended dose:
For dogs and cats up to 12 lbs give 1 tablet of the small size tablet daily.
For dogs 13 to 34 lbs give 1 tablet of the medium size tablet daily.
For dogs 35 to 65 lbs give 1 tablet of the large size tablet daily.
For pets 66 to 120 lbs give 2 tablets of the large size tablet daily.
For pets over 120 lbs give 3 tablets of the large size tablet daily.

For owners who find it difficult to administer tablet(s) to their pets, Denamarin may be disguised in a small bite of food. The number of tablets administered may be gradually reduced, or increased, at any time at the recommendation of your veterinarian. Tablets are sensitive to moisture and extreme heat and should not be split or crumbled.
